Using state-of-the-art equipment offers real-time data about breathing, heart rate, hand temperature, and muscle tension. A person can use this information to influence or control various body systems, which can lead to reduced pain, stress, anxiety and symptoms of many health issues.
Increased awareness of one's body, responses to stress, anxiety and pain can offer a sense of more personal power and the ability to have more control over health and well-being.
Biofeedback therapies teach a person how to be free from ongoing anxiety reactions. Various feedback modalities are used to teach general relaxation training. These include breathing training, EMG (electromyography or muscle testing), skin temperature and heart rate regulation.
